Open Districting, along with Open Primaries, is what is needed to improve our democracy.  If all primaries were more like run offs, where the candidates who got the two largest vote totals ran against each other regardless of party affiliation, then ultimately the candidates would more likely reflect the districts they represent.  Voters in a district would have more control over how a district ought to be shaped, ie, reflecting their values and their beliefs.  The politicians wouldn't decide who should be grouped together.  People would decide that themselves in a more natural process.
