fanout limit

In logic, the typical output is able to drive a certain number of inputs to other gates.  This will depend on the circuit technology, and can be adjusted by changing device parameters.  This limit will be expressed as the number or gates that an output can drive.  Load will also effect circuit timings.  See circuit simulators.
